We are looking for a dynamic person to work FULL-TIME to do just that!
A little over 3 years ago, FCC was a congregation of 80 mostly senior adults with about 5 children on a weekly basis. Today, we have about 250 adults and 90-100 kids walk through our doors on a monthly basis. With all of these children coming through our doors on a regular basis, we want to bring a person on staff who is equipped to grow in teens a passion for Jesus, as well as lead our congregation in worship.
We already have wonderful sponsors for our youth ministry, and a good core group to build from. Currently we have weekly youth small groups, one large youth group night a month, and another town wide youth gathering we lead monthly. We need someone to come in, and make the ministry their own. To love the students, share Jesus with the students, and change the student community in Wilmington for the better.
Music-wise, we are your dream church. We are progressive in music selection, and our normal band is fantastic. We even have a really nice sound system that was installed in 2009. We just need someone who can lead the group with a servants heart, recruit more talented volunteers, and help take them to the next level.
The right person is a person of vision who can be a part of a team. Our staff at FCC is more than co-workers; we are friends who spend time together outside of the office as well. We all volunteer in areas outside the normal spectrum of our ministry, and celebrate each others successes along the way.
The right person must be a self starter. At FCC you will have the freedom to do ministry as you best see fit, within the vision of the eldership. Because the candidate will have such freedom, he/she must be self motivated to get all of the details of the day to day done with excellence.
Most of all, the right person is passionate about Jesus, and sharing Him with all others. At FCC, if you spend 40 hours a week in your office you have failed! We work in our office when necessary, but spend the rest of our time present in our community meeting people, building relationships, and sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways.
