This week's lesson came from 2 Kings 4:8-17. The point of this lesson is that the wealthy lady helped Elisha by building a room for him. We can help build rooms for our friends. Maybe we can make some crafts for our friends to hang in their rooms. Perhaps we can rearrange out play areas to be more inviting for our friends and invite them over. We can definitely have helping hands this week.
This week your student leaned "when you think you can't wait, don't forget what's true." That concept comes from Exodus 32 and the story of the golden calf. God's people were frustrated waiting for God to reveal Himself to Moses, so they built a golden calf to worship as their God in the meantime. When they thought they couldn't wait, they forgot what was true. This is a great week to bake some cookies with your child. Perhaps having some cheap hard cookies on hand, and remind your child that God is always worth the wait.
